Bucks Win, but may lose

So I wasn't to far off on my prediction of the final score. 43-0 is pretty good. I didn't get to see the game yet, had to work the early shift, but I did DVR it. I am interested in seeing why we had so many field goals. The box score looked good until I saw that Beanie only had 111 yards. At first I though Tress had taken him out since it was 26-0 but unfortunately I was wrong. I got home from work and saw Beanie had gotten injured trying to score. The x-rays came back negative which is awesome. Hopefully it's nothing more than a severe sprain and he can be back for the USC game. I wouldn't play him next week. Give him the week off to heal completely and be ready for the BIG game. Plus I really want to see Beanie have a GREAT season and if he needs to have a week off than give it to him, heck were playing Ohio University we should at least beat them by 30.

I did see that Pryor got some time to play and even scored a TD. I am really looking forward to watching him in the future, he's going to be something special.

All in all a pretty good game from what I've read and heard. It sounds like our defense kicked some major butt, which should be the storyline every game.

I'll probably have another entry later today so with out further ado a closing statement from Homer Simpson: Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel.

True that Homer. True that.

OSU vs YSU-Predictions

It's a little under 24 hours before the mighty Bucks take on Youngstown State and I am pretty hyped. We all can agree that this is going to be a blowout game. They should come out guns blazing and make a statement. I really hope we get to see Pryor take a few snaps and see what he's learned from camp and from Tress. It will be a good game on a hot day. Final score 47-0. Our defense is going to shut them down. Go BUCKS!!

What do you think Homer?

When I held that gun in my hand, I felt a surge of power ... like God must feel when he's holding a gun.

Ok...not what I was expecting but we'll work with it.

The Bucks Are Back BABY!!!

Smallville-What the heck?

So I'm a big TV fan. I really enjoy watching TV especially the fall premiere season. I have several shows I enjoy watching and one of those shows is Smallville.

Smallville for the uninitiated is about Clark Kent in his early years before he became the "Man of Steel". The one rule that was enforced by the producers early on with Smallville was the "No Flight/No Tights" rule. Basically the producers wanted this show to be about Clark Kent and not Superman since the focus was on the early years of Clark discovering his powers and learning how to deal with being different. At first I was a little peeved when I found out about this rule but once the episodes got going the rule really did make sense because once you have Clark put on his suit and fly it becomes a totally different show.

Which brings me to this season-Season 8 and I can say that I am a little apprehensive about this season. One of the reasons I really enjoy this show was because of the great work done by Michael Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor. I really recommend going back to Season 1 and watch him grow as an actor. He really becomes Lex Luthor and makes you love him and hate him. It's really an excellent job by an excellent actor. Which leads me to the first reason I am apprehensive about this season, Mr. Rosenbaum decided to explore other opportunities and left the show. It's really a bummer and makes me a sad panda to know there won't be any Lex this season or any other season because it was fascinating watching this character develop from being somewhat good into one of the worst villains in comic book history. Here's one of my favorite scenes from last year:

Just Awesome.

Now my second apprehension is the announcement of two new characters-the first being Tess Mercer who is sort of Lex's successor, I'm not really big on this character but it's cool because she's hot and since Laura Vandervoot and Kristin Krueck are gone we need some hotness factor even though Allison Mack more than fills that role. Hubba Hubba. Sorry about that I have a thing for blonde's. Anywhoo back on topic, the other new character is Doomsday, yeah the monster that killed Superman, but it's really not Doomsday, it's a guy that has Doomsday in him. HUH?!?! Let's have a refresher on who Doomsday is ok? Wikipedia do your thing!! Go ahead read it, I can wait.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_(comics)

Ok so did you get all that? Did you find anything in that article about Doomsday being a human host?? Now I can suspend my disbelief when it comes to comic books, TV shows, and movies but you're telling me that Doomsday, the monster that killed Superman, is going to be living within a paramedic?? Come on that's just not cool. I am interested to see how they pull this off, but I have a bad feeling that this is going to really turn out badly.

Finally my last apprehension and this just came about this week from CW:

"The Justice League, led by the Green Arrow (Justin Hartley), hits the Artic in search of Clark (Tom Welling), who disappeared after the fortress collapsed. The team immediately has a confrontation with the new CEO of Luthorcorp, Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman). Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) is being held prisoner by a suspicious group who has discovered she has a new power, and Clark has been stripped of his powers by Jor-El."

Read the last sentence-"and Clark has been stripped of his powers by Jor-El." The biggest complaint I have with this show is how easy it is for Jor-El to remove Clark's powers. The first time it happened it was cool. Jor-El did it for a good reason and it worked fine within the storyline. Then they did it again and then again and now they are going to do it again. "They" I am referring too are the writers. It's become their cop out. Why does Clark need to be stripped of his powers? And why the heck is it so easy for Jor-El to do that? For a dead Kryptonian he sure is pretty powerful. After reading that release from CW I was almost tempted in skipping this season, I just felt like it was going to be bad writing and it was a "here we go again" scenario. I just REALLY hate seeing Clark lose his powers and then having to whine and beg to get them back. It just really makes no sense for him to lose them. Plus if this time is like the last few times, Clark will have his powers back by the second episode. Anyway I am just a little upset about this and hopefully it won't be as bad as I think it will be.

Now there is one thing I am excited about and I've read this in a few articles and if I am reading between the lines of what the producers are saying then it could be awesome-CLARK MAY ACTUALLY LEARN TO FLY!!!!!!! YES!!!

I hope it happens.

Well that's about it for today. I will leave you with a little Hall and Oates and a quote from the man of the hour, the tower of power, the poet master: Homer Simpson

Homer: Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try.

The New Guy

Well if you are reading this welcome to Webhead's Corner! It's my little corner of the blog-o-sphere. I wanted to be able to just talk about stuff that makes me happy, angry, or a sad panda. So what will you get with this blog? Well a little bit of everything-stuff about life, movies, TV, and other stuff. As for a little background on myself-well I will save that for later. All I can say is that I hope this is good therapy because I definitely need it. Finally a quote from the greatest TV actor EVER!!! I give you the man of the hour Homer Simpson: "I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman." Amen Homer!
